There seems to be a problem within the online dynasty that is keeping the Orange Bowl from being played. I posted the following at the EA Support Forum:
Still have yet to receive a response - but it was sent on the 30th. I don't imagine they will have a particular fix for this within anytime soon. However, by the end of our second season (3-4 weeks), they should have another update that addresses this problem. This DOES NOT AFFECT REGULAR SEASON USER VS. USER GAMES.
Here is the solution:
Both teams will play eachother in a normal online game with the same teams (Temple and San Diego State). The winner of that game will be able to play in the Orange Bowl against the CPU. It is the only way that this can be solved fairly. I think this will be the only time we have to deal with a user/user game like this. As I said before, by the end of next season everything should be working properly.
As soon as the game is played, I need to know who the winner is so I can set the other team to Autopilot. This will allow the winner to play the CPU. Once this is done, I can advance to the next week. SMU will be playing for their National Championship (good luck), and then we will be moving on to the offseason.
Any questions or comments? Feel free to post them.
SYSTEM: PS3
GAME MODE: Online Dynasty
SEASON STATUS: Bowl Games, ORANGE BOWL (user vs. user)
NEW ERROR REPORT (first post)
So we've had a great season with a 12 team online dynasty. I have two users who are playing eachother for the Orange Bowl in the first season. User 1 has Temple, User 2 has San Diego State.
When they go in to play their game, they never make it past the "searching for online opponent" message. They don't even get to start the game. This seems to be a constant problem, and I have never had connection problems with either users previously.
The key thing is that it is the Orange Bowl between two users. That seems to be where the error is - but that is just my opinion.
I know you guys are bogged down with other issues - but great job with the game and thanks for the recent update. As a second thought...could this be an issue from the update? Didn't have any problems previously, and the users attempted to play the game the day after the update was posted. Could be just a coincidence.
Thanks in advance!!
